Today, my stomach feels as if it is doing backflips. I am in a constant, complete state of nausea. At first, I thought it was just heartburn. No...it's more than just heartburn. Enough about the inner workings of my body.
I think 4 year old and 2 year old minds are the coolest, most confusing, most entertaining things ever. Savannah can sure think of some stuff. The other day, she was asking me if Rick and I got married at Mom's house. I said yes, and she said, "Well, when I'm bigger, then I can marry Daddy, too."
I had to explain to her that that wasn't how it worked. It was super cute, though. And Madeline is so smart. I was playing around yesterday doing a sort of who's who thing with her. I was asking her if she knew who Rick was, Courtney was, etc. And she knew everyone's names. We never really practiced the name thing, but I guess from hearing us call each other by our proper names, she's figured out who is who. It's plain amazing.
*pauses while her stomach does some more backflips*
OK, my stomach isn't giving me a break here. So I'm going to go deal with it...somehow.

What is this?
This is an update.
I promise, from this day forward, to update this blog at least once a week. I was looking back, and I realized that I hardly ever post any updates. In fact, if you haven't already noticed (or if you're even here), this is the first post of 2008, and 2008 is already over halfway through. Eek!
Savannah is 4 now. Madeline is 2. Both are happy, active little girls. I can't think of two sisters who get along any better than they do. They are each other's constant companions. They play together, sleep in the same bed, and they hardly ever fight. They are always giggling and talking to each other. Nighttime is always fun. The girls will stay up and talk and giggle for hours. I'm not kidding. It's like a nightly slumber party. But I couldn't ask for a better relationship between the two of them. It's perfect. And Madeline copies EVERYTHINGt that Savannah says and does. If Savannah goes potty, Madeline follows her and sits on her potty. If Savannah plays with something, Madeline wants to play with it, too. If Savannah says she wants something, Madeline automatically says she wants it, too, even if she doesn't even know what it is.
Rick is still working at Presby Dallas. He stays pretty busy with that, but the days off are so enjoyable.
I got my associate's degree from CCCC. It's just in general studies, but it's a degree. I'm working on my bachelor's degree now. Hopefully, it won't take so long.
